Choose your Price Point

Basic cost

The cost of longarm quilting is based on the size of your quilt top. Multiply the length by the width. Example: 90 inches long x 60 inches wide equals 5400 sq inches. Then multiply by the cost of each design group. Example: 5400 sq inches x $.015 equals $81.00. Your quilt will be setup, loaded, and stitched with Superior Omni thread for $81.00. If your top measures less than 3333 sq inches, the minimum charge is $50. If you have 2 small tops that can be loaded side by side with the same backing and the total is more than 3333 sq inches, then the minimum does not apply.

Design prices

Design Group A are edge to edge (E2E) designs that are more open and have spaces between 2 and 4 inches. Cost is $ .015 cents per sq inch.

Design Group B are E2E designs that are more dense and have spaces between 1 and 2 inches. Cost is $ .020 cents per sq inch.

Design Group C are block designs, borders and sashing designs. Cost is $ .025 to $ .04 cents per sq inch depending on density. Group C also carries a higher cost due to complexity of fitting corners and borders.

Other Services

Thread Choice Quilting uses Superior Omni thread for top and bobbin thread. You have your choice of 30 colors in stock at no additional cost. You may have different colors on top and bobbin. Different brand or weight of thread and special orders will be priced at the regular retail cost and may incur a delay.

Changes of thread color add $5 per row.

Ironing, repairing, sewing, cleaning threads and other prep work add $10 per hour. There is no charge for set up and loading of your quilt.

Pickup and delivery within 20 miles of Valley Bend is no charge. Beyond 20 miles is $ .15 cents per mile when prearranged on my schedule. Consider Postal Service or UPS to save money.

Sales of batting and quality 108 inch backing fabrics. Prices on request. Discount of 20% if you purchase the batting and backing at the same time. We also sell Superior thread, 100% cotton fat quarters, small selection of fabrics and finished quilts when available. Discount of 20% on fabrics and fat quarters when purchased with batting and backing.
